Thanks to Gary and Wayne for their team presentation of bowl anatomy. We hope this helped you. Bring a bowl and we will help refine your design gently.
We have a web site. Dan Stratton has volunteered to be the manager of the site. The site is http://swiwt.org. Be sure to check it out. Dan’s e-dress is dan@dwstratton.com
We elected Officers: President; Brian Malnar, VP/Program Coordinator; Crusty Harmon, Treasurer; Ron Hasse, Web Administrator; Dan Stratton, and News Letter; Wayne Rexford.
This month’s program will feature Brian Malnar and the making of a spoon.
This month’s challenge is a Patriotic item.
FIRST TUESDAY: This is the 1st of many that is scheduled to hi-light one turning tool and its use. So July 1st, bring your roughing gouge and learn how to sharpen and use it. This is “hands on”. It will be at Woodcraft from 6-7:00 pm.
Keep the bowl exchange going.
If you are getting this publication and deem it unusable to you and want it stopped, call me at 365-3476 or E me at wrexford@bigskytel.com and I will remove you from my list.
Gary Smith has suggested that we get Dick Sing for our next program turner. Dick does a lot of things. He is good. Some of my design elements are his influence.
Keep bringing your show and tell items. Makes us all better turners.
September 13th is the club picnic and green wood turning session. Mark your calendar.
It will be held at Brian and Tami Malnar’s house
The Western Idaho Fair is coming and the Kuna Quilter’s Show. We will need turners to show their stuff. More to come later!
